Why Choose a Montessori Preschool?

Child-Centred Learning
Montessori education emphasises a child-centred approach, allowing children to choose their activities and learn at their own pace. This autonomy fosters independence and a love for learning.

Individualised Curriculum
Each child learns differently, and Montessori schools cater to those differences by providing a personalised curriculum tailored to each child’s interests and abilities. This flexibility ensures that children remain engaged and motivated.

Development of Social Skills & Critical Thinking
In a Montessori environment, children are encouraged to work together, share ideas, and help one another. This collaborative atmosphere promotes the development of social skills, empathy, and respect for others. Children are encouraged to explore, question, and think critically. Instead of simply memorising facts, children learn to solve problems and make decisions independently, which is crucial for future academic success.
Unique location with historic links
In the heart of Booterstown, we have a wonderful location in sight of the sea and the local bird sanctury. Our crest of the heron signifies the bird sanctuary. If you notice there is a crown on the heron’s head. This is because Booterstown lies along an ancient route once known as Slíghe Chualann, which connected the residence of the High King of Ireland at Tara with his outlying lands in Cualann. Cualann is the ancient name for the area of land stretching towards Bray (Irish: Brí Chualann).
Our learning environment
Our classroom is designed to be engaging and inspiring. It has various areas where children can explore and activities that stimulate their curiosity and creativity in a safe space, guided by our fully trained team. We also have access to a lovely outdoor play space that the children enjoy.
Community involvement
The school has been in the community for 30+ years and in its current home since 2010 and ownership since 2013. Based in Booterstown Community Centre, we actively involve families and the local community in our preschool activities to help strengthen relationships and foster a sense of belonging among our students and parents.
